'Cash Stuffing'
'Cash stuffing has gone viral on TikTok, with videos on the topic garnering millions of views, because it is seen as a way to manage finances during inflationary times. According to Credit Karma, cash stuffing is particularly popular with Gen Z. About 55% of Gen Z members said in a Credit Karma survey that they use it to save money, while 47% use it as a budgeting tool. About 70% were able to decrease their monthly spending. Other sources say some factors driving Gen Z's increased use of cash within the past year include the feeling of having more control and being more thoughtful about spending and future credit card payments.'
Northeastern University invents a new plastic / ceramic polymer that disperses heat possibly leading to flame proof underwear.

“Managing heat is a big challenge for power electronics and devices like radar antennas,” says Northeastern professor Randall Erb, head of the university’s Directed Assembly of Particles and Suspensions (DAPS) Lab and lead researcher on the project. “When electronics overheat, you either have to slow them down or turn them off. That might be fine for a phone, but not for critical systems like radar.”'
Technion University in Israel says the ice plant succulent creates an electrical current from sunlight photosynthesis so you can one day power up your phone with that houseplant you keep forgetting to water.
'How does it work? A typical fuel cell requires an electrically conducive electrolyte solution. The Technion team, led by Noam Adir, tested whether the water stored inside a succulent plant could serve that purpose. They inserted one positive and one negative electrode into a single leaf and connected them to a circuit. When the plant was exposed to light, its natural photosynthesis produced a small electric current.'
