Never Let You Go.
I recall from my point of view writing the lyrics to I'll Never Let You Go in 2 places.
I believe I began it at the BCC activities Department thinking about Cathy whom I still missed very much. But Angela and Barbara were the ones with the mood rings and nickels and dimes.
Barbara was my next door neighbor when I was young and I blamed her once for pulling the ears off my bunny rabbit toy and back then I was sure she had.
Now I am not so sure.
I have had many similar pointless, mean things done to me like that throughout my life and I really doubt now that Barbara had anything to do with those.
But her mom gave her some money to pay for the ears and Barbara told me I could have either a nickel or a dime.
My sister was there and she told me a dime was worth more than a nickel, even tho the nickel was bigger.
I chose the nickel and we became friends again, I guess. At the time the toy was torn Barbara had been angry at me, for what I don't recall yet.
Hmm. I am beginning to recall she was angry because I wouldn't let her play with the toy when we were playing in the huge lilac bush / tree by our garage. Hmm yeah, I think that was it !
Angela was Harry and Joe's sis and she once got a mood necklace, not a mood ring and we used to have a blast trying to piss her off to make it turn black - and it would !
Years later Harry told me that Barbara had been the sales girl at the record store in North Adams. She had sold me the Paul's Boutique cassette telling me enigmatically 'That's Bad !'
Still not sure whether she meant bad = good or bad = bad.
