Tonight: The Trump Admin pushes back against BRICS, gets blamed by Elon Musk's AI, as a St Pete man shows prison is no excuse for not keeping up with child support, Bono outs girl at Live Aid, car - house altercation...

Leading off Newspage's Evening Update tonight we have the Trump Administration's attempt to throw a brick into the BRICS alliance window of opportunity as the nations with the most to gain from the new trade wars:

BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa who created an alliance to oppose the Trump Administration's tariffs.

The acronym BRICS was coined in 2001 by Goldman Sachs to designate the group of nations known then as emerging markets, according to Wikipedia.

'Last year, the list of Brics members expanded beyond the original group of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.'

Next up - Elon Musk's own artificial intelligence blames Musk and the Trump Admin for the recent flooding deaths in Texas.

'Grok' blamed the mogul and the president because of the recent cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for the recent tragedy.

'“Trump’s NOAA cuts, pushed by Musk’s DOGE, slashed funding 30% and staff 17%, underestimating rainfall by 50% and delaying alerts,” the AI bot replied to a user asking who is responsible for the fate of the 27 young girls who are still missing in floodwaters at Camp Mystic.

“This contributed to the floods killing 27, including ~20 Camp Mystic girls. Facts over feelings,” Grok continued.'

- Tampa Bay Times Monday, July 7th, 2025

'Murray, while posing as customers, made calls to different locations of the business and bought products “using the customers’ open lines of credit,” according to prosecutors.

Then, Murray and his alleged co-conspirators sold the products online at lower prices and illegally earned more $1.2 million, prosecutors said.'

Girl lies to her mom about not attending Live Aid back in 1985 only Bono pulled her up onstage.

'Now a lecturer at the University of Brighton, Elaine Hills was a sixth form student when she promised her mother she wouldn't be going to Live Aid.

However, she was soon caught out in a lie as she and her sister were pulled up on stage by U2 lead singer Bono. "It was such a surreal thing to be happening," remembers Elaine, 56.'

Reportedly, this is the 3rd time a car has crashed into the house.
