Google C E O says one quarter of new code is developed by artificial intelligence, but apparently the AI is not allowed to eat in the cafeteria.

'“More than a quarter of all new code at Google is generated by AI, then reviewed and accepted by engineers,” CEO Sundar Pichai said on the company’s third quarter 2024 earnings call. It’s a big milestone that marks just how important AI is to the company.'

(NASDAQ GOOGL) reported its Q1 FY 2025 results with consolidated revenue growing 12% year-over-year (YoY) (14% in constant currency or cc) to $90.2 billion (+1.2% above consensus estimates). Google Services revenue rose 10% YoY to $77.3 billion, with Google Search & other generating $50.7 billion (+10% YoY), YouTube ads at $8.9 billion (+10% YoY), and subscriptions, platforms, and devices contributing $10.4 billion (+19% YoY). Google Cloud revenue increased 28% YoY to $12.3 billion, 0.5% below consensus estimates.'
